As a resident of the city, I can totally believe this. Especially when you define "unemployment" as those who were once full-time and have to cut back to part time in a lower-paying job to make ends meet.

As much as I would like to see the fallout and abandonment for morbid interest, I am kinda glad I am living in a much nicer place thousands of miles away from depressing michigan. It's very STRESSFUL there.
